A Sunburnt Christmas trailer: First look at Stan’s festive holiday film

Stan releases a trailer for its very Aussie holiday film A Sunburnt Christmas – which promises to bring plenty of laughs and festive cheer

It might not be your regular Christmas film, but Stan Original movie A Sunburnt Christmas is sure to bring plenty of laughs and even a few tears along the way.

The trailer, which dropped on Thursday, sees the lives of a struggling single mum and her children turned upside down when a stranger dressed as Santa Claus crashes into their property.

The teaser starts off by introducing criminal Daryl (Daniel Henshall) who is chained to a hospital bed, as a voice-over proclaims: ‘The patient is regarded as dangerous.’

Daryl then manages to steal a Santa Claus suit off an impersonator and makes his getaway in a van filled with toys, before crashing into the family’s property.

Tricking two youngsters, Daisy (Lena Nankivell) and Tom (Eaden McGuinness), into believing he is really Santa, he ropes them into helping him find a bag of money that he’d tried to steal.

After being caught by the kids’ teenage sister Hazel (Tatiana Goode), who is aware of their mother’s struggles to pay the bills following the death of her husband, the children come up with a deal to split the cash.
