Logan Paul reveals he and Josie Canseco have broken up

After just a few months together, Logan Paul and Josie Canseco have called it quits. 

The 25-year-old YouTube star appeared to accidentally let the news slip during a recent episode of his podcast Impaulsive when he referred to his ‘ex-girlfriend’.

The news is an about-face for Paul who gushed back in the spring that things between the pair were ‘pretty serious’. 

During the podcast episode, Logan was discussing ‘slipping into DMs’ (direct messages) with girls on social media when he seemed to unintentionally let the cat out of the bag about being single. 

‘It might come off a little odd, these exchanges I’m having with women who aren’t my girlfriend,’ he said. After a quick pause he added: ‘Ex-girlfriend.’

Impaulsive isn’t aired live so, had he wanted to, the controversial influencer could have edited that slip out but he decided to press on. 

‘I mean, I didn’t really plan on — It’s hard. We’ve had the conversation ‘How do you tell the world it’s over?” he explained.  

‘I’ve always really valued the privacy of my relationship because my life is already pretty public so I don’t feel like either Josie or myself needs to give an explanation if we don’t feel like it,’ Paul added.

He didn’t give an exact reason as to what precipitated the split between the young stars to the 2.6 million followers of his podcast on YouTube but did say that being ‘in the public eye’ when you’re dating wasn’t easy.   

‘It was a special time for both of our lives,’ he said. ‘It just didn’t end up working out.’ 

The break up seems rather recent as the couple was seen getting cozy together outside of a restaurant in LA after celebrating Josie’s birthday on November 5th.  

And, despite his admitted willingness to slip into the DMs of women on social media, the California native isn’t ready to move on from the relationship he called ‘serious’ a few months back. 

‘I’m not f***king around,’ he said. ‘I’m not even at flirt stage yet.’ Adding: ‘There’s a hump to get over before I feel comfortable being back at it.’  

For her part, Josie has been mum on the breakup and has yet to comment on her now-ex’s admission on his podcast.

Logan and Josie were first romantically linked together in April of 2020. 

In May, Paul confirmed his relationship with the daughter of retired Oakland A’s star Jose Canseco, who previously dated Brody Jenner.

He told ET that they had come together in ‘a crossing of LA circles.’

‘She’s over here and I’m over there and we crossed circles one night … it’s f**king serious – it’s pretty serious,’ he said at the time.

Prior to Josie, Logan dated actress Chloe Bennet in 2017 but split in September of 2018.
