I’m A Celebrity: Ruthie Henshall and Jordan North win Scotch eggs

It’s been the best chance the campmates have of getting a sweet treat inbetween their meals of rabbit, pigeon and eels.

And Ruthie Henshall and Jordan North left their fellow contestants very bemused by their choice of snack at Kiosk Cledwyn on Monday’s I’m A Celebrity show.

The pair successfully took on the Castle Coin challenge and got to pick either scotch eggs or chocolate eggs for the camp- with them going for the savoury option.

Oops? Ruthie Henshall and Jordan North left their fellow contestants very bemused by their choice of snack at Kiosk Cledwyn on Monday’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here show

Ruthie and Jordan had to herd ducks into pens for the challenge, with it taking a little while for them to work out a rhythm.

However after a few tries, they managed to successfully complete the challenge meaning a trip to Kiosk Cledwyn and the possibility of a treat.

At the kiosk Ruthie and Jordan had the option of chocolate mini eggs or scotch eggs as a reward for their toils.

They decided to go with scotch eggs as they thought it would fill the celebrities up more.

It was good in theory! The pair got to pick scotch eggs or chocolate eggs for the camp- with them going for the savoury option because they thought it would fill their campmates up more

Kiosk Cledwyn called the camp and Beverley answered and relayed the all-important question standing between them and the snack.

The question was: ‘What percentage of Brits felt people should not propose in public? a/43 per cent or b/33 per cent’

Most of the celebrities thought 33 per cent but AJ felt 43 per cent, they did a show of hands and AJ was the only one who put his hand up for 43 per cent.

Decision time: The snack from Kiosk Cledwyn all depended on the camp getting the right answer to the question 'What percentage of Brits felt people should not propose in public?'

Deciding to go with the majority, the camp gave the answer of 33 per cent to Kiosk Cledwyn which was the correct answer.

Ruthie and Jordan returned to camp to cheers from their fellow campmates for pulling off the challenge and getting a reward.

These cheers soon turned to a few bemused looks once they revealed they’d chosen scotch eggs over chocolate eggs.

Elsewhere in the show tensions got a little strained when AJ Pritchard discovered the pans hadn’t been cleaned and ended up having a little tiff with Shane Richie.

AJ, 26, who is in charge of maintenance, said to Mo Farah and Giovanna Fletcher that he couldn’t boil water because the pots and pans hadn’t been cleaned.

Giovanna then suggested that he should ask Shane, who alongside Ruthie Henshall was assigned washing as a chore, if he could clean a pan.

AJ walked over to Shane, 56, and asked him to clean the pots and pans.

However Shane said: ‘I need hot water, I left them to soak last night, all ready to be cleaned but I need hot water.’

This didn’t go down too well with AJ, and the dancer pointed out: ‘But you’ve left them in the pan that does the hot water.’

Shane said ‘left what in the pan?’, to which AJ replied: ‘The big pan that we put the hot water in.’

Shane looked at Vernon as AJ walked away and said: ‘This ain’t working for me, the waiting for someone to do that…’

And speaking with deputy camp leader Victoria Derbyshire, Shane said: ‘This is where people get p**** with each other.’

Victoria replied that they wouldn’t get wound up and Shane said: ‘No, we won’t.’

Talking in the Telegraph, Russell said: ‘Mood today in camp is a little different than it has been the past few days. Everyone has been given specific tasks and there’s been a little of needle, “have you done this”, “have you done that”.’

AJ also reflected on the to-do and said: ‘His [Shane’s] response was I need boiling water to do the washing up, well we need pots and pans to do the boiling water.’

Bad timing: Shane said he needed hot water to clean out the pots, but AJ pointed out that they had been left soaking inside the big pan which the camp uses for putting water

While Shane added: ‘I needed water and someone’s gotta fetch the water and someone’s gotta heat the water and unless I’m barking order I didn’t want to wash dirty plates and pans in cold water.’

AJ also took on his first trial during the show alongside soap star Jessica Plummer.

The scary challenge was called The Harm-Oury and Ant and Dec were left laughing when AJ lost his nerves while travelling through a bug-filled tunnel.

AJ screamed repeatedly in a high-pitched fashion as he travelled through separately to Jessica, 28, calling her name, much to the TV hosts’ delight.

Jess tried to reassure AJ throughout the challenge, by saying: ‘You’ve got this, you’ve got this, Don’t freak out.’
