Brooke Shields, 55, sports a strapless red swimsuit to take the plunge in a freezing pool

She’s a world-famous actress who started in the industry at a young age.

And Brooke Shields displayed her incredible figure wearing a strapless red swimsuit for an Instagram video shared on Wednesday afternoon.

The 55-year-old model looked simply stunning as she plunged into a freezing cold pool in front of a few onlookers in her backyard.

Brooke was fearless as she walked into the small pool wearing a high-cut number with a plunging neckline. 

‘We did it,’ she screamed as she clasped her hands and climbed out of the frigid water. ‘Oh god it’s so cold!’

Shields showed off a bit of bling with sparkling diamond earrings and a gold medallion necklace.   

The Blue Lagoon star got her start in the entertainment industry at a young age as a child model and then broke into acting with film and television roles. 

Brooke revealed last year that her mother Teri was incredibly protective of her daughter when she entered into the industry.

‘If anybody looked at me sideways, she was like, “I will cut off your balls and make you eat them,”‘ she told The Telegraph.

Her mother’s protective nature did little to hamper Brooke’s career, with starring roles in The Blue Lagoon, Calvin Klein campaigns and also gracing countless magazine covers in the 1980s.

Brooke divorced tennis ace Andre Agassi in 1999 and remarried Chris Henchy. They now live together in New York and have two daughters, Rowan, 17 and Grier, 14.

While discussing whether or not she would allow her children to get into acting, Shields said: ‘I have to understand the ‘why’ before I agree to it. They just have to go to college. That will fortify them.’
