Kelly told how feasting on delicious meals with long-term love Jeremy Parisi, 35, allowed her weight to creep up, with the star admitting she ‘fell off the wagon’ and stopped following her SlimFast plan.

Reflecting on her increased size, she noted how it didn’t seem important at the time seeing how so many were suffering amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, she explained: ‘It seemed a frivolous time to be thinking about diet, though. Every day, people were losing their lives and trying to save lives on the front line.’

Despite not minding her curves, the TV personality went on to say that her slightly bigger size was having a negative impact on her lifestyle as she struggled to fit into her clothes.

She said: ‘As much as I enjoy being voluptuous, when I go up to a size 14-16 my boobs get way too big for my body. I couldn’t fit into any of my lovely clothes and didn’t feel good about the way I looked.’

The beauty has since made tweaks to her diet and has stuck to her SlimFast 3-2-1 meal plan, which sees her enjoying three snacks, two shakes and one main meal a day.

It comes as, in the wake of her recent weight loss, Kelly declared she’s a ‘happy and healthy’ size 12 as she admitted ‘some of the skinniest times in my life have been my most miserable.’

The model revealed her weight had plummeted in the past due to stress as she recalled when she was at just 8.5 stone (53.9kg) following her father’s passing in 2007.

The TV and radio presenter also insisted body confidence ‘comes with age’ as she wants to look like a ‘good 40 year old’ as opposed to appearing younger.

Heart FM host Kelly explained: ‘I’m a size 10 around my waist but a size 12 around my boobs and bum. That’s my healthy, happy size.

‘Some of the skinniest times in my life have been my most miserable. When I lost my dad in 2007 I was 8 1/2st. I would not want to be in that place again.’

On accepting her curvaceous figure, the honey-blonde beauty added to Fabulous magazine: ‘You don’t care if your bum looks big. I want to be the best version of myself, I don’t want to look like a 20 year old, I want to look like a good 40 year old.’
