They have been together for three years, and moved in together in 2019 in Manchester after meeting through Coronation Street, where she also works, behind-the-scenes.

And, Jack P Shepherd, 32, and his girlfriend Hanni Treweek, 31, have said that marriage and kids are ‘definitely’ in their future, during their first TV interview, on Monday.

The actor – who has three children from previous relationships – appeared on Loose Women with the storyline creator, where they explained how they met, and revealed that they ‘fell in love quite quickly’.

Definitely! Jack P Shepherd, 32, and girlfriend Hanni Treweek, 31, have said that marriage and kids are ‘definitely’ in their future, during their first TV interview, on Monday’s Loose Women

Asked if they met at work, Hanni said: ‘I was really behind the scenes, we didn’t directly work with each other.

‘We kind of knew each other to say hi and then we started talking at a mutual friend’s wedding. We just clicked and he made me laugh.

‘It didn’t go anywhere from that until we bumped into each other in Sainsburys,’ admitted Hanni, with Jack adding: ‘Yeah, you were in your gym gear in lycra.’

Hanni continued: ‘I had no make-up on, I had a bright red face, I was sweating… I was so embarrassed!’

The couple explained how they then began texting, before eventually going on their first date, and that now they’ve been together for three years

Asked if Jack is similar to David Platt, his character on Coronation Street, Hanni admitted: ‘He’s definitely a lad’s lad, but I also get a lovely romantic version of him.’

The loved-up pair were also quizzed about whether babies and marriage are on the horizon, to which Hanni responded: ‘Yeah, definitely one day!’

She added: ‘We fell in love quite quickly. Yeah, I think we’d like to in the future, I would hope!’

Their first television appearance as a couple comes just a month after the Coronation Street star’s former fiancee Lauren Shippey claimed he had not seen their two children in almost four months.

Lauren slammed Jack for failing to keep his promises to his children and criticised his decision to discuss his ‘blended family’ in a recent magazine interview.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘It made me laugh. We’re about as blended as a breeze block in a cement mixer.’

Jack and Lauren were in a relationship from 2002 to 2017 and are parents to Nyla, 11, and Reuben, six, while Greyson was born in 2010 from a one-night stand with Sammy Milewski.

Lauren said she was unhappy after reading an interview her ex gave to OK! magazine where he spoke about homeschooling their children with his new girlfriend Hann, during the coronavirus lockdown.

She said: ‘I’m speaking out now because Jack has used his celebrity status to give an interview which portrays a false image of how he behaves.

‘Jack didn’t see his children for almost four months! He hurt me emotionally quite a few times. I always had his back and forgave him. I never, ever planned to speak about our relationship but enough is enough.’

Lauren also told the publication that Jack hurt her emotionally and she now feels the public needs to know what he is ‘really like’.

Jack and Lauren met when they were teenagers and were engaged until she broke off their relationship in May 2017.

Lauren forgave Jack for his one-night stand in 2010, saying he told her the truth on the Friday before it was due to be published in a Sunday newspaper.

She finally called quits on their relationship in 2017 when he failed to come home one night after reportedly going to a strip club in Leeds.

Lauren said Jack got together with Hanni a few months after their breakup and began to visit the children less frequently by 2018.
