SAS Australia’s Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham takes another swipe at Roxy Jacenko

SAS Australia’s Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham takes another swipe at Roxy Jacenko and claims she used her injuries as an ‘excuse’ to quit and was ‘more than capable’ to finish the course

Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham has spoken once again about his disappointment that Roxy Jacenko opted to quit SAS Australia after just six hours.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Friday, the show’s instructor and retired SAS soldier revealed he was ‘very disappointed’ in the 40-year-old PR queen.

‘I think she talked herself out of it from the time she turned up. I know she had an injury before and I know she had some issues prior to it but if I am being honest, she used that as an excuse,’ he said.

Great expectations: Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham (pictured) has spoken once again about his disappointment that Roxy Jacenko opted to quit SAS Australia after just six hours

Roxy had fractured her hip and pelvis in a horse riding accident just six weeks before filming began on the gruelling reality show.

‘She was more than capable of doing a lot more than what she did, that is for sure,’ continued Billy.

‘I don’t think she came in with the right mental attitude either, she was kind of stand-offish from the word go.

‘She was not in the best of spirits, she was miserable for most of the time… for the six hours she was there. I was disappointed, she could have gone a lot further and done a lot better.’

He also described Roxy’s feud with former friend Candice Warner as ‘childish’, after the two women fell out after having to box each other on the show.

It’s not the first time Billy has spoken out against Roxy, telling news.com.au last month that while she was ‘lovely’, ‘she talked herself out of it’.

‘She hated the course, she hated being shouted at. I think she was a lot physically fitter than what we saw because she didn’t really push herself,’ he said.

‘You could tell from her facial expressions within the first couple of hours she was not in a good place, didn’t want to be there and she let her mind take control of that.’

He added: ‘I was quite disappointed actually… she could have done a lot better.’
