Channel Nine’s headquarters will be relocating to North Sydney after more than 60 years at Willoughby.

And on Friday, Sylvia Jeffrey revealed why she’s upset about saying goodbye to the original location after hosting her final episode of Today Extra at the studio.

The 34-year-old shared a photo to Instagram, posing alongside co-stars and revealed she met her husband Peter Stefanovic at the Willoughby headquarters.

‘So long, farewell TCN Willoughby and thank you Studio 22 for the memories, the friendships and the husband,’ she wrote.

‘David Campbell and I will see you from our shiny new home on Monday morning,’ she added.

According to Domain, the Sydney TV site was sold in February for $249 million and it will be transformed into 460 new homes.

There will be nine apartment buildings set on the 6000 square metres of land as well as a park, playground and retail plaza.

Nine will reportedly be relocating to its new studio in North Sydney.

Meanwhile, Sylvia and her husband Peter met while they were co-hosting Weekend Today, with the 34-year-old previously saying that it was a case of love at first sight.

She said they had been slated to host the Weekend Today show together over the Christmas holidays, and that’s when sparks flew.

‘We sort of bumped into each other in a car park at Channel Nine one day before we started hosting together…’ she said.

Sylvia and Peter tied the knot during a picturesque Kangaroo ceremony on the New South Wales south coast in 2017.

The couple announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy named Oscar, on February 6th 2020. They are now expecting their second child together.
