Carrie Bickmore debuted a new short haircut to celebrate the easing of the Victoria’s strict lockdown last month.

But on Thursday, The Project host, 39, decided to surprise her radio co-host Tommy Little by getting inked – with one of his designs.

‘This morning, Chris (Walker) and I, together, went to your tattoo artist, Ben, and got a tattoo done.’

‘One of them was a nod to my family, and the other, which I was excited about that I thought you wouldn’t believe I would get,’ Carrie told Tommy.

‘It was liberating… there’s something about this year that’s just making me do stuff that people don’t expect to do, so I got a “yeah dog” tattoo.’

Explaining the bizarre design, Carrie said Tommy had always joked about getting the word ‘Yeah’ with a drawing of a dog underneath, and she decided to beat him to it.

‘No you didn’t,’ Tommy laughed off upon seeing her tattoo for the first time.

‘I don’t believe that’s real… It’s great. Maybe i’ll go out and get a matching one in the same spot.’

It comes just weeks after the Logie Award-winning host revealed she decided to celebrate the easing of the Victorian capital’s strict lockdown by trimming her hair.

In a column for Stellar Magazine, last Saturday, Carrie explained that cutting her hair felt like she was cutting away the ‘heaviness of 2020’.

‘Just the simple act of cutting it felt liberating. Like a physical and mental weight off my shoulders. Like I had cut away the heaviness of 2020,’ she wrote.
