A bride is being mercilessly shamed online for wearing an impractical mermaid-style wedding gown that is so tight it looks like she is unable to walk or sit in it — let alone dance.

A photo of the unnamed woman striking a in her figure-hugging strapless dress was shared on the Facebook group That’s It I’m Wedding Shaming (non ban-happy edition)

‘My dream wedding dress? Something I can’t walk, sit, or breathe in,’ the poster sarcastically captioned the image.

Shamed: An unknown bride is being mocked for her restrictive gown after her photo was shared in the Facebook group That’s It I’m Wedding Shaming (non ban-happy edition)

Not into it: Critics thought it was ridiculous that she would choose a gown that she can barely move in, with one person joking that she 'looks like a cartoon character'

In the photo, the bride is standing under twinkly lights with her arms by her side as she looks off into the distance.

The form-fitting gown highlights her tiny waist and hourglass shape, but it appears to be nearly impossible to walk in.

While fit-and-flare styles are popular among brides, this particular design looks incredibly restrictive because of how tight the fabric is around her lower legs.

It appears as though the bride can only take tiny steps, if that.

The dress shaming post has received over 700 likes and dozens of comments from group members mocking the design, according to The Sun.

Too much: Many agreed that she looked 'gorgeous' but ultimately 'uncomfortable'

Critics didn’t necessarily take issue with her appearance — a number of people noted that she looked ‘gorgeous’ — but they thought it was ridiculous that she would choose a gown that she can barely move in.

‘I just think she looks… uncomfortable,’ one person wrote. ‘All I can think of when I look at the picture is how unpleasant the dress would be to wear. But to each their own.’

‘[She] looks like a cartoon character,’ another noted. ‘Great for photos, but I can’t imagine actually functioning in it.’

‘Where is the two-wheeled dolly to cart her from place to place,’ someone else joked.

Despite the criticism, some people were a fan of the dress and insisted a little discomfort would be worth it to look that good on their wedding day.

‘Ooohhh that’s gorgeous,’ one Facebook user commented. ‘I won’t care about sitting if I looked that good. Imma change at the reception anyway.’
