SAS Australia’s Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins looks almost unrecognisable as he reveals shock new look

He’s the former Bachelor star known for his more clean-shaven look.

But on Wednesday, Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins looked almost unrecognisable as he herded cattle in the Northern Territory.

The 33-year-old former Rugby player shared some hilarious videos of himself from his adventure and showed off his new rugged blond beard.

Nick wore a beige akubra hat and a beige shirt to keep cool while out in the sun and looked a little dusty from being out and about.

His beard was rather long and shaggy, a bit of a change from Nick typically being clean-shaven with a moustache.

In the videos, Nick tells a number of jokes as he herded the cattle.

‘What do you call a cow laying on the ground? Ground beef,’ he said.

‘I’m going to apologise, that was actually horrendous,’ he added.

The former Wallabies star is currently nursing an injury and recently had a shoulder reconstruction after appearing on SAS Australia.

At the weekend, Nick posted a video on Instagram from hospital, saying that he was told by doctors not to take part in the series.

He said in the clip: ‘As you know, I’m on TV at the moment, SAS: Who Dares Wins. It’s about half way through.’

‘I was told by doctors, friends and family not to take part in the series, in the selection process, due to the health of my shoulder and the potential permanent damages, if I was to go an attempt that.

‘However, I do believe in the saying: ‘Take the risk or lose the change’. So I had a crack at it, and I believe the growth from that was unbelievable,’ he said of his time on the show.

‘It (the growth he gained from SAS) outweighs any pain that you’ll feel. Pain is usually temporary, but regret lasts forever.

‘I’m lining up here now to go under the knife, get a shoulder reconstruction due to the damages, wear and tear from the show.

Well he was a Wallaby! Nick has been considered one of the fittest recruits by the DS (or directing staff), who have been monitoring all the recruits progress on the selection course

‘Stay tuned for the recovery,’ the former international rugby player optimistically added.

Nick received well wishes from fans in the comments section as well as fellow recruit, Erin McNaught who wrote: ‘Ahhhhh Badge! All the best mate xx.’

SAS directing staff member Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham said: ‘All the best mate.’

Earlier in the season, Nick knocked down swimmer Shayna Jack to the ground during a game of Murder Ball, leaving her winded in her midsection.

Prior to that, he was at the centre of another brutal incident during the premiere episode, when he went up against Sabrina Frederick in a boxing match.

Despite his initial hesitation to fight the 23-year-old AFLW player, who had chosen him, Nick didn’t hold anything back, punching his opponent ferociously.
