Country singer Casey Barnes takes centre stage at the State of Origin in Brisbane after calling his performance at the game ‘a dream come true’

Country singer Casey Barnes lived out one of his dreams on Wednesday, performing at the State of Origin in Brisbane.

The 42-year-old We’re Good Together singer took to the stage before game three between the Queensland Maroons and the New South Wales Blues.

‘So this is a bit of a dream come true. Tonight I get to perform two songs pre-game with the band for the State of Origin and I’ll also be singing the national anthem,’ he wrote on Instagram ahead of the match.

He added: ‘It’s a sell out so should be an absolute ripper!’

More to come.
