Woman, 26, and man, 31, are charged with murder of five-week-old baby who died at home in 2018

A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a five-week-old boy after he died at home, police said.

James Dean Clark, 31, and Helen Jeremy, 26, will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court accused of killing Sean Clark.

Avon and Somerset Police said the pair have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

The charges relate to the death of Sean Clark, who died at an address on Neads Drive, in the Gloucestershire village of Warmley, on January 14 2018.

Clark, of Neads Drive, Warmley, and Jeremy, of Russell Avenue, Kingswood, have been remanded in custody ahead of the court appearance.

A police spokesperson said: ‘We’ve charged two people with the murder of a five-week-old boy in 2018. 

‘James Dean Clark, 31, of Warmley and Helen Jeremy, 26, of Kingswood, have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child. 

‘They remain in police custody and will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court later today. 

‘The charges relate to the death of Sean Clark who died at an address in Warmley on 14 January 2018.’
