Nikki Bella reveals she and brother JJ Garcia stopped speaking after argument over politics in new Total Bella sneak peek: ‘It was the last straw’
Nikki Bella has revealed she and her brother JJ Garcia stopped speaking to one another after getting into a heated argument over politics.
A new sneak peek teases the drama, which begins with Brie Bella receiving a text message from their brother, prompting Nikki to bring up their recent argument.
‘It’s funny how he doesn’t write me at all,’ Nikki, 36, told Brie. ‘Ever since that fight.’

‘You still haven’t talked!?’ Brie said, incredulous.
Nikki explained she and her brother had stopped seeing ‘eye to eye’ about certain issues ever since her recent reconnection with their father.
But the fight was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Brie.
‘Ever since I reconnected with my father, JJ and I, we just don’t see eye to eye on some things in life. The last time I saw him, we got into this massive fight over politics and it’s caused us not to speak,’ she explained in a confessional. ‘It was the last straw.’

Heavy matters: The drama did not sit well with Brie
Brie said she had recently spoken with JJ, who was open to speaking with Nikki following their fight.
However, Brie got the impression he wanted Nikki to break the ice.
‘He reached out to me a couple weeks ago, and was like, “We should talk.” And we did, and our conversation I’ll say, like Bryan was shocked because we got heated, but then we worked it out. I told you, JJ you also need to talk to Nicole, and he’s like, “Well I want to.” But I think he wants you to reach out,’ Brie explained.
Nikki seemed annoyed by the suggestion she initiate contact.

‘I’m sorry, but why?’ Nikki said. ‘I don’t understand what I did wrong in the situation, except say how I felt about politics and I got destroyed by him with words. I stopped responding, and he just kept saying mean things after mean things, like terrible stuff. I couldn’t even look at him and Lauren, to tell you the truth, because I’m just disgusted.’
Brie attempted to smooth things over with a message of acceptance.
‘It’s family,’ Brie replied. ‘People don’t change, so you gotta accept who they are, and if you need to keep them at a distance, you keep them at a distance, but you don’t keep them away forever.’
‘But that’s what I’m going to do,’ Nikki said.
While few details were offered about the context of the discussion, JJ frequently retweets messgaes supportive of President Donald Trump on Twitter.
