She said that her husband ‘is gone working,’ adding, ‘I’m alone and I’m stuck in my pants over my boot.’

On Sunday, she broke the news of the injury as she included a photo of her wrapped-up leg as she breastfed her fifth child Eduardo, aged two months.

‘I broke my ankle yesterday because you know…2020,’ began the yoga instructor. ‘I went for a run and a car passed fast on this patch or road with no shoulder where there was a berm. I ran up on to the berm to avoid the car and as I was returning to the road, I fell and broke my ankle.’

The former Extra host then said: ‘It was silly and I’m frustrated and sad…but I’m determined to be positive and heal as quickly as possible.

‘It’s hard because I can’t carry my babies—amongst so many other things.’

She then said as a reminder that if you are on a country road ‘don’t speed and please slow down around runners, bikers, children and go around.’

Hilaria added that it is worth the extra few seconds it takes.

‘Thank you to John…the kind man who stopped and helped me up from the road and waited with me until Alec came—forever grateful,’ she then noted.

The star noted that her daughter Carmen, aged seven, took the photograph of her laying in bed with her baby as crutches could be seen by the nightstand.

There were heart shaped gems on her bandage placed there by Carmen and Leo, and a cut could be seen on her left knee: ‘I scraped my knee,’ she explained.

This comes after the star said she and Alec are happy with the size of their family.

She told People, ‘It very much feels like we’re done,’ in an interview published Friday.

She and Alec already share Carmen, seven, Rafael, five, Leonardo, four, Romeo, two, and Eduardo, who was born on September 8.

In addition to his five children with Hilaria, Alec shares an older daughter Ireland, 25, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, 66. The exes were married from 1993 until 2002.

In 2011, he began dating Hilaria, who worked as a yoga instructor at the time. The couple got engaged in April of the following year, and they married in June 2012 in New York City.

Although she always says she’s finished having kids before having one more, she now believes her family is finally complete.

‘Everybody’s asking me this question. I don’t know. I’ve said in the past that I was done when I wasn’t done,’ she said.

‘I think, right now, I’m so tired. And I feel, just with COVID, it’s just insanity. Right now, during times of COVID, it very much feels like we’re done.’

Hilaria has been homeschooling all of her children amid the coronavirus pandemic, and said she didn’t realize how much of a handful five kids can be until they were all at home at once.

She added: ‘It really didn’t [feel like I had a lot of kids] … some of them would be at school, and then some would be in their Gymboree class. And then, on the weekends, we had so much fun.

‘We would go to museums and concerts and everything. Now, we’re in the same house for eight months, not doing a lot, and all of a sudden it does feel like you have a lot of kids. It’s wonderful, but it does feel like there’s a lot of them.’

And although Hilaria and Alec are both content with their family of seven, they could still be swayed into having another child by their brood, who all want to know when the next sibling is arriving.

‘My kids are used to new siblings coming in, so they’re already like, ‘When is the next one going to come?’ And I’m like, ‘Guys, you and the entire world need to stop asking me that!’ Hilaria continued.
