Elsa Pataky gets tattoos with her gal pals as she celebrates her mother-in-law’s birthday

She attended a wild party over the weekend to celebrate her mother-in-law Leonie Hemsworth’s 60th birthday.

And on Monday, Elsa Pataky revealed that she added to her collection of tattoos by getting inked with her gal pals at the bash. 

The Fast and Furious star was tagged in a post by Weekend Today’s Lauren Phillips on Tuesday, which showed her, Elsa and friends showing off the new inkings on their wrists and ankles – including a shell and a paper plane.

The Channel Nine weather presenter shared the original post from their mutual friend, Byron Bay-based Elke Ricks. 

Lauren wrote in the caption: ‘I guess we really won’t forgot 2020 now’ on the Story post.

Another photo, shared by Lauren, from another mutual friend – Sophie Hutchinson – shows Elsa flaunting her new small tattoo on her right hand.  

The entire Hemsworth clan celebrated matriarch Leonie’s 60th birthday over the weekend. 

Elsa shared a photo of herself with her youthful mother-in-law at the tropical-themed bash on Sunday.

She showed off her trim figure in an off-white dress, as Leonie frocked up in a grey maxi dress with floral headband.

Chris also shared photos of his mother Leonie from their party to celebrate her milestone birthday.

‘Happy 60th to the greatest mum on earth! Love ya, mum,’ he wrote in the caption. 

While the friendship between Lauren and Else may come as a surprise to many, it is not the first time the TV presenter has spent time with a member of the Hemsworth clan.

In September, Thor star Chris made a surprise appearance on Weekend Today and read the weather for Lauren – surprising hosts Richard Wilkins and Rebecca Maddern.

At the time Chris told the hosts that this year has been the longest he has been in Australia for, adding: ‘It has been fantastic, being with the family and laying low.’
