Kelly Clarkson has admitted to once kicking down a door when she was dating now-estranged husband Brandon Blackstock.
The singer and TV host made the confession on The Kelly Clarkson Show last week as she chatted to guest Shemar Moore about his door-kicking antics on his CBS show S.W.A.T.
Kelly revealed: ‘I need you to know that I have kicked in a door… I have kicked in a door that a contractor had to come to our house and replace the door.
On a recent episode of her show Kelly Clarkson recalled the time she kicked down a door while looking after her ex’s children
‘The first time was when I was with my ex and I was watching his children, and we were dating, and I got locked in my bathroom.’
Shemar asked: ‘Did he lock you in the bathroom?’ as Kelly responded, ‘No he was gone!’
Kelly explained that when she realized she was trapped she started panicking.
‘I was freaking out cause I was like, “this is not happening on my watch!”
‘I literally kicked the door down in my bathroom.
She joked: ‘I gotta tell you, if you can afford it try it. It felt really good…and it feels so powerful.’

The singer admitted: ‘I was freaking out cause I was like, “this is not happening on my watch!”
Kelly is stepmother to Brandon’s two children, Savannah, 18, and son Seth, 13 from a previous relationship.
The duo also have River, six, and Remington, four, together.
Kelly launched divorce proceedings in June, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested joint physical and legal custody of their children.
However, she also previously admitted that their romance was unlike anything she’d ever experienced.
Kelly said: ‘When I met Brandon, I wasn’t looking for a friend. I have a lot of great friends! I was looking for a lover.
She joked: ‘I gotta tell you, if you can afford it try it. It felt really good…and it feels so powerful.’

‘I had never found someone I was truly passionate about, who I wanted to stay in bed with all day. The fact that I did, well … I was going to latch on and take advantage of that.’
And the Piece by Piece singer recently claimed divorce is a ‘s***** thing’, after seeing multiple family members go through the process before enduring a marriage split herself.
She explained: ‘I’ve been through two divorces in my family, husband as well in his own family as a child. We didn’t have social media around when that happened.
‘And, like, having kids that run the gambit of four to 19 is a really tough thing. And, you know, I’ve had conversations with one of our eldest about how difficult it is in the public eye when your parents are so … you know, one of them is so prominent and having to navigate that for them is hard on their hearts.
‘I’m just careful also while being real … And I don’t think that anything is – like I said – nothing’s wrong with anybody, it’s just … it happens, and that’s why there’s nothing to hide about it in that sense. You know, it’s just, divorce is a really s***** thing.’
