I’m A Celebrity 2020: Viewers are left in shock as the stars tuck into RABBIT for dinner after winning their first meal for the castle camp

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were outraged after the stars tucked into rabbit after winning their first meal during Sunday’s launch show.

In their first trial, The Gates Of Hell, the ten celebrities did a good job of moving stars from one side of a makeshift prison to the other, which earned them seven meals for the camp.

When they arrived at Gwrych Castle, Vernon Kay revealed that they were to be given rabbit for dinner, with Beverly Callard protesting: ‘I can’t eat bunny.’

The group cooked the meal together and decided to fry the rabbit with mushrooms they were given, before adding rice, beans and gourd to the dish.

Jessica Plummer claimed she couldn’t eat the food as she’d had a rabbit as a pet when she was younger: ‘I had a pet rabbit when I was a kid called Boris and I just think of him.’

Victoria Derbyshire seemed pleased with how their first day went on the reality show, as she said: ‘It was a happy vibe at the end of the day because we’d won some food, it tasted alright, although I’m not mad on rabbit.’
