Kaia Gerber’s boyfriend Jacob Elordi details the struggles of dating in the spotlight

Aussie heartthrob Jacob Elordi has dated actresses and models since his breakout role in Netflix‘s The Kissing Booth in 2018.

Now in a relationship with supermodel Kaia Gerber, the actor has revealed the struggles he faces with maintaining a romance in the public eye.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, the 23-year-old stated what his ideal date night scenario would be, while admitting how the spotlight can ‘make it difficult’ to achieve.  

Jacob, who appears to have been dating Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia for two months, said his ‘perfect date night’ would be ‘in Paris with wine, and you’re dressed to the nines’.

However, the Brisbane-born hunk claimed: ‘You want it to be genuine and real and have all the feelings of what you read in 1920s literature, but when people are watching and talking about it, it makes it a little bit difficult.’

Jacob and Kaia first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted at Malibu’s celebrity sushi spot Nobu in September.

The couple then went Instagram official over the Halloween weekend, dressed as legendary rock-and-roll couple Elvis and Priscilla Presley.

Jacob’s former Hollywood flings have included actress Zendaya and Kissing Booth co-star Joey King.

His romances were highly publicised at the time, and Twitter users have recently roasted the star for taking Zendaya, Joey and Kaia to the same date spot: New York City farmer’s market.      

While Jacob already has a steady fan following, his star is set to rise to new heights when he appears alongside Hollywood actor Ben Affleck in thriller, Deep Water.

Kaia was last linked to comedian Pete Davidson.

In January, New York Post’s Page Six reported that Kaia had split from Pete after a whirlwind three-month romance. 

The pair never publicly addressed their relationship, but Pete did allude to the romance in the December 21 episode of SNL during the ‘Weekend Update’ sketch.
