Ines Basic slams Sam Ball two years after their steamy affair on Married At First Sight

Ines Basic became one of the most memorable contestants on Married At First Sight after her steamy on-screen affair with co-star Sam Ball.

More two years on from starring on the Channel Nine social experiment, Ines has spoken out about her ex, slamming his dramatic new look and army career. 

In an interview with The Wash, the 30-year-old said Sam’s new pursuit, ‘doesn’t make sense’ to her.

‘How can you be scared of girls but you’ve just joined the army where you’ll be sent Afghanistan and there’s going to be bombs dropping everywhere,’ she said. 

‘It just doesn’t make sense to me,’ she added to the publication. 

Ines also slammed Sam for failing to give her answers about why he stood her up at the MAFS reunion finale in 2019.  

‘To this day he hasn’t owned up to anything. Two million people tuned in the watch the reunion and he just didn’t show up.

‘He came up with the most pathetic excuses. He was saying I was treating him badly. I call bulls**t,’ she said. 

Ines’ comments come as Sam re-appeared on Instagram earlier this month after a six-month hiatus to ‘put 110 per cent into new opportunities’.   

He returned with a dramatic new look – swapping his styled hair and thick beard for a clean-shaven chin and head.

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed on Wednesday his transformation was the result of joining the army.

Sam recently graduated from the Kapooka Army Recruit Training program in Canberra, where he is now lives.

He even received the Most Outstanding Soldier award upon completing the course, according to a post on the Army Recruit Training Centre – Kapooka Facebook page.
