Gossip Girl reboot films in NYC with Molly’s Game child star Whitney Peak and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists actor Eli Brown

TV actor Eli Brown and Molly’s Game child star were seen shooting the Gossip Girl reboot in New York this week.

Whitney is a teenager who has also been on such programs as Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina and Home Before Dark.

Meanwhile Eli recently celebrated his 21st birthday and starred on the short-lived Pretty Little Liars spin-off subtitled The Perfectionists.

The reboot of Gossip Girl only recently began shooting and the New York Post this week obtained pictures of the cast at work at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art.

Among the stars is Laura Benanti who won a Tony Award in the 2008 revival of the legendary Broadway musical Gypsy starring Patti LuPone.

When Laura was tapped for the show she was joining a cast that includes blog star Tavi Gevinson and Emily Alyn Lind of Revenge and Code Black, Deadline reported.

The original Gossip Girl series ran on The CW for six seasons, beginning in 2007 and ultimately airing its finale near the end of 2012. 

Cecily Von Ziegesar wrote the young adult novel series that the TV show was based and carried on churning out the books from 2002 to 2011.

The original show was developed for television by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage who are also creating the reboot for HBO Max.

Stephanie and Josh are teaming up as creators of the new show with Joshua Safran who was an executive producer of the sequel show.

Due out in 2021, the new show also includes Disney Channel actor Thomas Doherty and Johnathan Fernandez who was on the new Lethal Weapon series.

Along with Laura another Broadway star is also featuring on the series namely Adam Chanler-Berat who was in the original cast of Next To Normal.
