Teddi Mellencamp reflects on her year while holding nine-month-old Dove: ‘keep pushing forward’

Former Real Housewife Teddi Mellencamp is ‘all in’ when it comes to her kids.

On Thursday the 39-year-old mother of three spent some time tending to her nine-month-old daughter Dove as she reflected on the year.

Posting a before and after photo, one during pregnancy and one from today, Mellencamp was in her feelings as she urged her followers to ‘keep pushing forward.’

Sharing a #tbt to Instagram Mellencamp showed her labor of love, as she donned a very pregnant belly in workout clothes in one snap, before cradling her smiling daughter in present day.

Getting in a sweet mirror selfie before a workout, Teddi showed off her fit frame in a patterned spandex sports bra set as she cooed at her baby girl.

Dove, who was diagnosed with lambdoid craniosynostosis – a condition where the baby’s  head forms together in utero – is currently wearing a helmet for six months after undergoing neurosurgery over the summer.

 She captioned the photo:

‘It’s November and is it just me or does it feel like this year has flown by but also moved at a snail’s pace. I know we’re all doing these how it started vs. how it’s going, and on this #tbt I wanted to say that whether it’s been a year of change, or growth, or loss, or healing— just keep pushing forward and know that it all gets better in time.’

Later she shared a video of her husband Edwin Arroyave holding Dove as she joked that it was his time ‘to change [his] first poop of Baby Dove,’ while Edwin pushed back that he had done it ‘back in the day.’

In addition to being thankful for Dove’s progress, Teddi was also feeling incredibly grateful for her husband and Mosaic pastor Erwin McManus, who have both been pillars of emotional support throughout the past few months.

She shared that she was feeling ‘in a rut,’ when it came to her personal life, goals and dreams, adding that she usually ‘hates being open,’ and ‘letting her guard down’ when she is struggling, but found peace in talking through her issues.

Since getting the axe from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in September after three seasons on the show, Mellencamp is currently in a transitional period.

After her accountability coaching program ‘All In by Teddi’ received flack from the media and various participants for being ‘dangerous,’ her firing came shortly after, though Bravo never cited the controversy as a catalyst.

The three-part program pairs patrons up with a coach who they communicate with via text and encourages 60-minutes of cardio on a diet of less than 500 calories a day for a steep price.

The two week plan costs $599, with a monthly program fee of $399 and an additional weight and workout plan for $165 per month.

Despite receiving backlash, Mellencamp has maintained that she sticks by her program.

Responding to the claims on her social media in mid-September Teddi said, ‘If it’s something that you want to do and you want us to hold you accountable to your goals, we are there to do that for you. If it’s not something you want to sign up for, you don’t.’
