Molly-Mae Hague appeared to flout healthy and safety guidelines after embracing a competition winner without a protective face covering while visiting her home in October.

The former Love Island competitor had travelled to the south of England from her Manchester home to meet Joyce, the lucky winner of her recent £8k giveaway, shortly before England was plunged into its second national lockdown of the year.

The competition, which gave fans an opportunity to win Louis Vuitton bags and designer accessories to the value of £8,000, had already come under fire after Molly-Mae and her team selected just 25 potential winners from over a million entrants.

That can’t be right: Molly-Mae Hague appeared to flout healthy and safety guidelines after visiting a competition winner at her home – and embracing her without a protective face covering

Documenting her trip south on YouTube, Molly-Mae admitted Joyce had absolutely no idea she was coming to visit her with the luxury haul – and an accompanying friend.

‘It will be cute!’ she trilled while filming from the lavish flat she shares with boyfriend Tommy Fury. ‘I hope she doesn’t mind me filming her. If she does mind then obviously I won’t.’

After arriving at the location, and without a face covering in sight, Molly-Mae – who revealed she’d previously spoken to Joyce on Instagram – embraced the surprised winner as she opened her front door.

The mask-free influencer promptly made her way into the house, where she was introduced to Joyce’s sleeping baby daughter and the competition winner’s boyfriend, Samson.

A source has since confirmed the video, which was posted on Moly-Mae’s YouTube channel in November, was filmed before lockdown.

A spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘A lot of it was filmed last month.’

Current health and safety guidelines advise people to stay at home except for specific purposes, such as essential work, travel, education, volunteering and shopping.

You are also forbidden from meeting another person socially or undertake any indoor activities with another person unless they are part of your support or childcare bubble.

Prior to lockdown face-coverings had already been enforced in all public places, while hugging – particularly with those outside your immediate social network – was strongly discouraged.
