Sara Huegill appears unrecognisable as she debuts striking new look 

She recently reverted back to her maiden name on Instagram, two years after splitting from Olympic swimmer husband Geoff Huegill. 

And Sara Huegill (née Hills) has now undergone yet another big change – this time swapping her formerly bleached locks for a brand new ‘do. 

The controversial publicist, 37, looked unrecognisable as she unveiled a head of shoulder-length, maroon hair while posing for a bathroom selfie on Thursday. 

The mother-of-two dressed for comfort in a grey T-shirt and black bike shorts. 

She accesssorised the look with a pair of white acetate sunglasses that hung from her T-shirt’s neckline and a red wristband. 

Captioning the photo with two simple hashtags, Sara wrote: ‘#Gymdone’ and  ‘#Bachtothedarkside’ – the latter being a reference to her newly-darkened locks. 

Sara looked dramatically different to how she appeared in mid-October, when she debuted a much lighter, orange-toned hair colour on Instagram. 

In January, she had sported yet another different hair look on Instagram – this time a jet black, shoulder-length bob. 

Sara’s transformation comes after a difficult few years for the socialite.

In May 2018, Sara was accused of stealing a $2,500 pair of leather pants from a Byron Bay boutique. 

In August that year, a magistrate found that Sara had a mental illness and was suffering from ‘adjustment, depressive, eating and substance abuse disorder’. 

They also acknowledged the socialite’s remorse and dropped the charge on mental health grounds.

Sara’s lawyer had previously said in a statement that she was being treated for issues related to anxiety and depression.

At the time, a tabloid magazine claimed the incident was the ‘final straw’ for Sara and Geoff’s 13-year marriage. Geoff later denied this was the case.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia after announcing their break-up in December 2018, the athlete praised his ex as an ‘amazing woman’.
