‘We’ve had enough!’ Radio titans Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are forced to fend for themselves and ‘do everything’ as producers strike

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will be forced to do all the behind the scenes work on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday.

On Thursday evening, producers on the successful radio program explained that they had ‘had enough’ on the show’s official Instagram page and decided to go on strike.

‘The producers have had ENOUGH! If those two think they can do everything themselves then we say ‘GO FOR IT!’ the post was captioned.

‘From tomorrow 6am, we are officially ON STRIKE until further notice.’

The decision comes after Kyle, 49, called the producers ‘useless’ on Thursday’s show, adding that he and Jackie, 44, will ‘do the entire show on Friday producer free’.

‘We’ll just do the show without you and show you how useless you all are,’ he said.

Jackie added: ‘I’ve done their job for years and years, I’ve been a producer.’

Gobsmacked at their statements, one of their producers hit back: ‘You guys are never going to last.’

The radio hosts confirmed that they will be ‘taking calls’ and running all the usual programming for the show including questions for the pop quiz and O News.

However, the usually confident Kyle did seem to question the decision adding: ‘I feel I might be sick on Friday.’

‘Don’t you dare,’ threatened Jackie before adding: ‘I won’t be doing this on my own.’

Kyle and Jackie signed a five-year deal worth an ‘absurd amount of money’ with the Australian Radio Network (ARN), the parent company that owns KIIS 106.5, in October 2019.

According to industry sources, Kyle and Jackie are being paid $8million each per year, which makes their deal in total worth around $80million.

Kyle did not confirm or deny rumours about his salary at the time, saying he ‘[doesn’t] discuss the absurd amount of money I get given to do something I love.’

‘Don’t get me wrong, the money’s fantastic, but what really counts for me is the acknowledgment that what Jackie and I have created is one of the most successful shows on earth,’ he added.

In a statement, Jackie said she loves getting to work with her ‘best friend’ every day.
