Olympic legend Steven Bradbury – who famously won gold in speed skating when everyone else fell over – will compete on Seven’s Holey Moley and ‘win after Denise Drysdale has a terrible fall on set’

Steven Bradbury pulled off one of the most unlikely sporting victories of all-time at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

And now, the Australian speed skater is set to star on Channel Seven’s Holey Moley in 2021.

According to TV Blackbox, the Olympic legend, 47, was competing against Denise Drysdale when she had a terrible fall on set and had to be taken to hospital.

He then completed the course and was declared the winner.

During the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Bradbury became a global sensation after winning gold when all of his competitors crashed at the final corner.

His miraculous victory earned him an Order of Australia and he even appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2005.

Meanwhile, Channel Seven offered fans a glimpse of its upcoming mini golf-themed competitive reality show, last month.

Holey Moley brings together ‘the most skilled’ mini golfers from across Australia for a series of challenging one-on-one battles.

In the new teaser, golfing legend Greg Norman tells viewers: ‘I’ve found one thing bigger than golf… mini golf.’

We also see several mini golf fanatics competing against each other while trying to outmaneuver a series of Wipeout-style challenges.

Greg will serve as the Resident Golf Pro, as American comedian Rob Riggle shares commentary duties with Seven sports anchor Matt Shirvington.

While she didn’t appear in the 60-second advert, Sonia Kruger will host the series.  

The winning team will receive a cash prize of $100,000, but will have to deal with the pressure of a live studio audience. 

Holey Moley was created for U.S. TV by Australian producer Chris Culvenor, who is the man behind MasterChef, The Biggest Loser and So You Think You Can Dance.
