‘I just block and delete’: Jennifer Hawkins reveals how she deals with trolls on social media and admits ‘it really doesn’t play on my mind’

She’s been on the receiving end of online criticism, but Jennifer Hawkins has a special way of dealing with it.

In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle on Wednesday, the 36-year-old model said she simply blocks and deletes the users who post the comments.

‘Not that I get a lot of [negative comments] but usually they’re just fake accounts, I just block and delete,’ she explained.

She added: ‘It really doesn’t play on my mind. It wasn’t a big deal.’

In January, Jennifer was trolled by mummy-shamers after she shared a photo of herself cradling her then-four-month-old daughter, Frankie, at the beach.

The photo showed Jennifer wearing a straw sun hat, while Frankie was without a hat, prompting keyboard warriors to suggest that she wasn’t being sun safe.

‘Where’s the baby’s hat?’ asked one of Jennifer’s followers, while another wrote: ‘Loving the photo [but] why does Mummy have a hat on and not Bubba?’

The former Myer ambassador was quick to respond to her critics, and clarified that ‘bub was under a beach umbrella two seconds after [the] picture’ was taken.

She’s since turned the comments off for that particular post.

'It was such a storm in a teacup. It was literally one comment,' she told Yahoo Lifestyle of the offending photo

Jennifer welcomed Frankie in October last year with her husband of seven years, fellow model Jake Wall.

In April, Jennifer told marie claire magazine that welcoming her daughter had been ‘the most magical moment of my life’.
