The Bachelor’s Matty Johnson teaches his daughter Marlie Mae how to swim – as his fiancée Laura Byrne reveals the trick to getting terrified children in the pool

He is expecting his second child with fiancée Laura Byrne.

But on Tuesday, Matty J Johnson spent quality time with his one-year-old daughter Marlie Mae ahead of the arrival of his child.

Laura, 31, shared a video to Instagram stories, of Matty teaching his baby girl to swim at their local swimming centre and revealed the trick to getting her into the pool.

In the video, the 33-year-old is seen holding Marlie Mae up in the air before placing her into the water.

Laura revealed they encouraged their daughter to get into the pool by ‘bribing her with balls’.

She also shared another photo of Matty posing alongside Marlie Mae and captioned the picture: ‘Swimming lessons’.

Laura surprised fans in September by announcing she was pregnant with her and Matty’s second child.

While the couple are waiting until the birth to know if they are having a boy or a girl, she recently shared her interesting theory about the gender of her unborn baby.

She explained during an Instagram Q&A that she was getting ‘boy vibes’.

‘I’m getting very strong boy vibes, which means absolutely nothing because I also got very strong boy vibes when I had Marlie Mae. So… it’s probably a girl.’

Matty and Laura fell in love on The Bachelor in 2017 and got engaged in April last year.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Marlie Mae Rose Johnson, in 2019.
