Sarah Silverman and Barbra Streisand react to Mike Pompeo saying Trump will have a second term

Celebrities took to social media in response to Mike Pompeo‘s shocking claims that Donald Trump will serve a second term despite losing the presidential election to Joe Biden on Saturday.

The Secretary of State denied the election results during a news conference at the State Department on Tuesday when discussing the transfer of power come inauguration day on Jan. 20.

Sarah Silverman, John Cusack and Barbra Streisand were just a few of the many stars decrying Pompeo’s comments after Joe Biden won both the popular vote and garnered more than 270 electoral college votes to become the 46th president of the United States.

Loud and proud: Barbra Streisand, Sarah Silverman and John Cusack were just a few of the many stars decrying Pompeo’s comments

‘There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,’ he said when asked about preparations necessary to work with Biden’s transition team.

Trump has yet to concede in the race and has since filed suits around the country claiming voter fraud despite no evidence proving otherwise.

‘The world is watching what’s taking place. We’re going to count all the votes,’ Pompeo said. ‘When the process is complete there’ll be electors selected, there’s a process the Constitution lays it out pretty clearly.
