Meg Ryan is a doting mother as she takes daughter Daisy out on a grocery run in LA

She was virtually synonymous with the romantic comedy during the film genre’s boom starting in the late 1980s and beyond.

And on Sunday Meg Ryan played the role of doting mother when she stepped out on a grocery run with her daughter Daisy in the Santa Monica neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The pair were spotted moments after emerging from a Trader Joe’s store pushing a cart full of bags as they heading back through the parking lot to their vehicle.

The Connecticut native, 58, looked casual-cool in baggy, green military pants and a black jacket that had a similar style.

She also donned a pair of grey sneakers and dark sunglasses as she had one hand on the cart while Daisy pushed it from behind.

The pair both wore protective masks over their mouths and noses in adherence to health and safety protocols in the wake of the still raging COVID-19 pandemic.

Daisy, 16, kept it casual in blue denim jeans with blue jacket over a white shirt.

Ryan adopted Daisy in 2006 when she was just 14-months old, during a four-year hiatus from the Hollywood spotlight to focus on family.

The duo have been seen out at the occasional public events over the years.

The mother of two, who also has a 28-year-old son Jack with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, is currently single after her engagement to rocker John Mellencamp was called off in October 2019.
