Teenager is charged with murder of man who was stabbed to death in Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham

  • Cesar Bello, 18, is accused of the murder of 20-year-old Panashe Bako in July
  • Bello handed himself into police on Friday and is due to appear in court 
  • As well as murder, Bello is also being charged with robbery and assault  

A teenager has been charged with murder over the death of a man found fatally stabbed at a hotel.

Ceasar Bello, 18, is accused of the murder of 20-year-old Panashe Bako, who was discovered with stab injuries at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Holliday Street, Birmingham, on July 22.

Bello handed himself in on Friday and is expected to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, West Midlands Police said.

He is also charged with robbery and assault.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough said: ‘This is a significant step forward in our investigation into the tragic killing of Panashe.

‘His family and friends are been kept updated at what I know remains an extremely difficult time for them.’
