Pregnant Kara Tointon bundles up in a chic tan coat and patterned green scarf during London outing

She revealed last month that she was expecting her second child with partner Marius Jensen. 

And Kara Tointon looked radiant as she stepped out in a chic tan jacket and green patterned scarf during an outing in London on Thursday.

The former EastEnders star, 37, clearly had a busy day ahead as she lugged around a large black suitcase, before stopping for a coffee at Cafe Nero.

Kara cut a stylish figure in her long winter coat, which alongside her scarf, she teamed with a grey roll neck jumper and blue skinny jeans.  

The pregnant star accessorised her off-duty look with chunky black boots and rounded tortoiseshell sunglasses, while she also donned a black face mask.

Keeping things casual, she swept her brunette tresses up into a loose topknot, while she donned minimal make-up for the outing. 

Kara, who carried her essentials in a white tote bag, appeared in good spirits as she went about her day in the capital. 

The beauty confirmed last month that she is six months pregnant with another baby boy, almost two years after she and Marius, a chiropractor, welcomed son Frey. 

‘I think this year has brought so many things in different ways,’ she told this week’s Hello! magazine.

‘At the beginning of the year I was due to start a play, and now I am at home in a little cocoon and pregnant.’ 

She said: ‘We really wanted a sibling for Frey. So we said: “If it happens, it happens, let’s go with the flow.” And it happened much quicker than we expected.’  

The actress had been due to star in a stage production of Steel Magnolias before COVID-19 restrictions prevented it going ahead.

She said of her marriage plans: ‘It keeps getting put on hold. But I like to do things when I’m in a place to enjoy it, so if you can’t do that now, then why rush?

‘It will be much nicer to get married in a celebratory way when we can enjoy it with family.’

Kara, who has a close relationship with her sister, actress Hannah Tointon, told how she is looking forward to seeing the bond her two sons will develop.

The TV star’s announcement comes after she had previously told OK! magazine she was hoping to expand her brood. 

She said: ‘I would really love to have more. Because I am so close to my sister, I want Frey to have that as well,’ she said. 

‘So we’ve got to fit that in somewhere! I think this year we have all put into perspective what’s important to us.’

Kara and Marius made their first public appearance as a couple at London’s Wimbledon tennis championships in the summer of 2017.

Before finding love with Marius, Kara previously had relationships with her EastEnders co-star Joe Swash and ex Strictly pro Artem Chigvintsev.
