She was recently nominated for a prestigious Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award for her work on Married At First Sight.

And now Ines Basic is ready to take her entertainment career to the next level by launching an acting career.

Speaking to the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, the 30-year-old confirmed that she’s already got an acting agent and is trying to distance herself from reality TV.

Lights, camera, action! Former Married At First Sight star Ines Basic is launching an acting career

‘I actually just signed with a really good acting agency,’ she said.

‘So I want to get into that and I want to really separate myself from reality TV,’ she continued.

‘My agent said “because you’re so established in reality TV and everyone knows your name it’s gonna be really hard to separate yourself from that.”

‘So that might be a bit of an uphill battle but we’ll see what happens.’

The brunette beauty admitted that she’s tried to distance herself from her portrayal on MAFS by utilising YouTube and Instagram to show off her personality.

She added that ‘serious acting is an incredible way to discover parts of yourself.’

Ines also compared filming Married At First Sight to ‘being on a film set’ and admitted that she wasn’t taking the experience seriously until she fell for Sam Ball.
