Famke Janssen looks stunning while running errands in a green dress on her 56th birthday

She’s regularly seen showing off her stylish looks while out in New York City.

And Famke Janssen didn’t disappoint on Thursday, when she was spotted out in the Big Apple in a lovely dark green dress.

The X-Men star was seen taking care of errands and carrying some dry cleaning while out on her 56th birthday.

Birthday girl: Famke Janssen looked as stylish as ever in a green dress that highlighted her toned legs as she took care of errands in NYC on Thursday, which marked her 56th birthday

Janssen’s eye-catching dress featured sheer strips and highlighted her toned legs.

She opted for comfort with a set of black flats, and she did her parts to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus with a green camouflage mask that complement her dress.

The 6ft beauty had a white clutch wedged under under one arm as she carried her drycleaning over her shoulder and wore a larger white handbag over her shoulder.

She wore a large pair of black sunglasses to block out the sun and let her wavy dark brown locks cascade over her shoulders.

Although Famke was born in the Netherlands, she moved to the US to begin modeling in the 1980s, and she studied at Columbia University in the early 1990s.

Her first major role was in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye, when she appeared as the suggestively named villain Xenia Onatopp.

In 2000, she appeared in her most popular role as Jean Grey in 2000’s X-Men.

Her character was a protege of Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) who had telepathic abilities like him, as well as the power of telekinesis.

Big role: After rising to fame in 1995's GoldenEye, Famke had her biggest role to date in X-Men (2000) and its sequels. She played Jean Grey, the protege of Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart); still from X2 (2003)

She reprised the role twice more, in the critically acclaimed sequel X2 (2003), as well as the less well-received third film, X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), in which much of the action revolved around her character transforming into the destructive Phoenix.

In 2016, the actress complained to Entertainment Weekly that she had not been brought back to play the older version of her character in 2014 X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which featured old and young casts playing the same characters, but mostly for the male characters.

She described the lack of older actresses as a form of sexism.

In June, the original X-Men stars joined in on a virtual Zoom reunion, including Famke, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry.

The event was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first X-men fim and to promote Global Citizen’s Global Goal: Unite for Our Future.

The virtual meet-up also featured a surprise appearance from Ryan Reynolds, known for playing the X-men–adjacent Deadpool, who brought along other stars of the series including James McAvoy, Sophie Turner and Liev Schreiber.
