Michael B Jordan knows how to keep a balance between work and downtime.

The 33-year-old actor was seen dining out and relaxing with a group of friends at Spago in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

The Black Panther star did not have to try hard to impress anyone as he wore a simple white t-shirt, black jeans, and a set of Nike Air Force 1 hightop sneakers while carrying a distressed multi-pattern jacket.

The actor and his group of friends also made a point of keeping their masks on and respecting safety protocols before entering the restaurant.

The Newark, New Jersey native first received critical acclaim for his role playing troubled youth Wallace in the HBO crime drama The Wire, and followed that up with a recurring role on soap opera mainstay All My Children.

Jordan later moved on to film roles, and gained widespread attention for his role in Fruitvale Station as Oscar Grant, a young man who was killed by a BART officer in Oakland, California.

The film made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival and later went on to win the Best First Film award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Jordan has recently been the subject of speculation as he is reportedly considering taking on the director’s chair for the upcoming boxing film Creed 3.

While the first Creed film was directed by Ryan Coogler, the directorial helm was passed on to Steven Caple Jr. for the sequel, with Coogler retaining an executive producer credit.

The news was reported by Deadline late last month, although there has been no word since regarding Jordan’s final decision.

Jordan has previously served as executive producer for films such as Kin, Fahrenheit 451, and the second Creed film, and also for various episodes of television shows including Raising Dion and Gen:Lock.

The former Friday Night Lights actor starred in the original 2015 Creed film and its 2018 sequel as Adonis Creed, son of former world champion Apollo Creed.

Both films featured Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Rocky Balboa from the original Rocky films.

Stallone was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work on the first Creed film.
