Shawn Mendes cuddles up to new puppy Tarzan in Instagram video shared by girlfriend Camila Cabello

They introduced their new fur baby to the world on Tuesday.

And on Wednesday, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello showed off the adorable pup in an Instagram video clip.

The Canadian singer, 22, is seen cuddling the puppy named Tarzan that was bundled up in a red and black blanket.

‘I’m starting to smell like you, because you stink,’ Mendes murmured playfully as the puppy chewed on the blanket.

The two haven’t stated what breed Tarzan is but he looks like a Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever or possible a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle.

Cabello, 23, posted the video and in the caption, she shared: ‘During uncertain times like this we need a reminder that sweet miracle things like puppies exist in the world too, meet the new member of the pack: Tarzan!’

The Cuban-American singer added a few words about the presidential election as votes continued to be counted in several states on Wendesday.

‘Sending to love all of you guys and remember: regardless of the outcome, WE are the ones responsible for building the world we want to live in. the fight for BEING the society we want to see. That continues after this outcome is decided,’ she wrote.

‘This is what I’m telling myself to soothe myself right now because it’s the only thing we actually can control. love you guys and Tarzan sends a big puppy lick.’

The hitmakers had excitedly showed the pup off as they brought it home on Tuesday, sharing images of Cabello with the cute dog sitting in the back of a SUV driven by Mendes. 

The pair, who have been dating since July 2019, are big dog lovers.

Cabello brought two to the relationship –  Shih Tzu Leo and Chihuahua Eugene. Mendes is dad to German Shepherd Thunder.

Tarzan is their first dog as a couple. 

The celebrity duo have been quarantining together in Cabello’s Miami home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
