Pete Evans shares bizarre memes about ‘inaccurate’ US election numbers

He’s known for his controversial and scientifically incorrect beliefs about COVID-19, 5G and vaccinations. 

And disgraced chef Pete Evans, 47, has shared his latest conspiracy theory on Thursday while weighing in on the US presidential elections. 

Posting to social media, Pete uploaded two memes that called into question the accuracy of voting numbers, following Donald Trump’s unfounded claims that the election is ‘fraudulent’.   

Pete, who has previously claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic was a ‘hoax’, posted a meme to his Instagram Stories that read: ‘The election seems as accurate as the Covid numbers.’ 

Meanwhile, he posted another meme to his Telegraph page which depicted the image of The Beverly Hillbillies star Buddy Ebsen in character.  

‘The same folks that’s countin’ them rona cases ain’t counting the mail-in ballots is they?’ the meme read. 

Pete has previously spoken about his support for the Trump administration, describing the US Commander-in-chief as a ‘disrupter’ in an interview with The Daily Telegraph in September.   

‘I think he (Trump) is a master communicator. Perhaps we need these agitators, disrupters to the current narrative to raise awareness,’ he said.    

Since being dumped by Channel Seven in May over his controversial views, Pete has been free to express his support for Donald Trump.  

He has recently taken to wearing MAGA hats, referring to the ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan used in Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential election campaigns. 

Speaking on his Evolve podcast in September, Pete revealed his admiration for the divisive president actually began in 2016, when he was still employed as a judge on My Kitchen Rules.

‘I was never interested in politics, I tell you. It wasn’t until four years ago, that around this time Donald Trump was running for president up against Hillary Clinton, that’s when I… got a little bit closer to what politics is,’ Pete explained. 

‘There was such disdain against this man, and for months and months I would go into my workplace and the same people every day would be talking about Trump – this is before he was elected – saying the most vile, horrible things,’ he continued.  

‘After a month I couldn’t hold my tongue anymore and I said to these people, “Why are you judging somebody on a job they haven’t done yet, and may not get the job? Why don’t you hold your opinions and your judgment?”

Despite his best efforts to convince them to ‘take Trump’s personality out of the equation’ and judge him on his achievements, Pete’s colleagues weren’t impressed.  

‘They basically said, ‘F**k off, Pete, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.
