Amber Davies reveals it was ‘love at first sight’ with boyfriend Nick Kyriacou

They’ve been inseparable for the past few months. 

And Amber Davies has given her fans some further insight into her blossoming romance with Nick Kyriacou.

The Love Island favourite and her operations manager beau took part in a relationship Q&A on Amber’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday night.

The candid chat saw Amber reveal how the couple fell in love at first sight but Nick isn’t keen on being part of his girlfriend’s celebrity lifestyle. 

Nick didn’t appear on camera with Amber during the Q&A, with the reality star explaining to her 1.5 million followers: ‘He hates cameras, it’s not a bit of him.’

‘He’s getting used to being filmed a little bit but he does hate it, but that is something I love about him,’ she added.

Elsewhere in the chat, Nick gushed that his first impression of Amber was ‘fit’, while Amber joked ‘you were a lot shorter than I thought you were.’ 

Smitten Amber also revealed she was the one to say ‘I love you’ first and the pair had been talking for over a month before getting together. 

Of the moment Nick asked her to be his girlfriend, Amber gushed: ‘It was under a coat in the rain! We were walking acorss a bridge going from a bar to another bar.’  

Taking to her Instagram Stories earlier in the week, Amber spoke about her romance with Nick after she was asked by a follower how long she had been single for.

She said: ‘I was single for just over three years. I definitely needed that time to be single, I bought a house and a dog and just felt like I became fully independent.

‘He came into my life at what feels like the perfect time. It’s so lovely to love and be loved.’ 

Now they have returned to the UK following a holiday in Dubai, Amber also confirmed she and Nick will be self-isolating together during lockdown.

Last month, a source told MailOnline the duo are smitten with each other after growing close when lockdown lifted, and meeting Amber’s family together in Wales. 

An insider said: ‘Amber and Nick are so happy together. In the past Amber has kept her romantic life private but she’s so in love with Nick. 

‘After meeting her family the weekend she knew it was the right time to share her new relationship with her fans.

‘Nick is a normal guy who isn’t in the spotlight, which is why Amber kept his Instagram profile untagged from their posts together.

‘But he’s also been sharing with friends the fact he’s with Amber, and even jokingly said in a story featuring the star this weekend, “what have I signed up for?”‘

In 2017, Amber found fame by winning ITV2’s Love Island with ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, who’s now in a relationship with trainee lawyer Lexi Hyzler.

They split 132 days after scooping the £50K cash prize, with Amber going onto have brief romances with One Direction’s Liam Payne and Perri Kiely from dance group Diversity.

It was also reported that Amber and singer Olly Murs shared a ‘string of flirtatious messages’ shortly after her split from Kem.
