The Wiggles release a new range of merchandise… including a couch with Emma Watkins’ face awkwardly printed on the cushion

With live music put on hold indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic, musical acts are having to come up with new ways to generate an income.

The Wiggles have released a new range of merchandise in collaboration with Australian retail giant Big W.

In a post on their official Instagram page on Wednesday, the children’s music group plugged the new sofa.

‘Emma’s Flip Out Sofa or Bean Bag Chair. Now available @bigwaustralia instore or online,’ they captioned the post.

At first glance, the purple and pink couch appears innocent enough, decorated with musical notes and Emma Watkins’ name in cursive script.

A cartoon image of the 31-year-old Wiggles star waving both her hands is printed on the back of the sofa.

The sofa then flips open to a full-length cartoon image of Emma dressed in her iconic yellow skivvy.

But her face is positioned on the bottom cushion, right where the kids would sit.

The printing mishap seemed to have gone unnoticed by most parents, with many simply enquiring about whether it could be shipped overseas.
