Finally about to speak about it! Steph Claire Smith (pictured) announced her first pregnancy with her husband, Josh Miller, one week ago. And on Wednesday, the Melbourne model and fitness entrepreneur updated fans of the KIC POD podcast about her journey for the first time

‘I know my waist and I know my stomach, and it’s definitely changed,’ she added.

Steph explained that gaining weight during her first trimester had made it difficult for her to know for sure whether she was showing or not.

However, with the baby being ‘a size of a pear now’ at 15 weeks, the expectant mother was confident was a ‘low, little bump’ there.

‘I think because I always had a swayed back and my stomach has kind of sat forward, it means I’m noticing it going more forward really easily,’ Steph said.

'We've been taking a photo every Monday, between eight and 11 o'clock [in the morning], and ... there is actually quite a difference between by 14 week and my 12 week,' the 25-year-old told co-host Laura Henshaw, 27. Pictured: Steph, Josh and their dog, Ari

Her diet has also changed and Steph is more open to eating salads in the second trimester, whereas greens were off-putting in the first.

‘It just didn’t go down right. It didn’t feel… my body just didn’t want it. My body just didn’t want salad at all,’ she said.

‘I’ve noticed now in the second trimester I have been able to enjoy salad, which is great.’

‘I’m really happy that I’m enjoying it again. It’s opened up my choices of dinner and lunches a lot more now, rather than having the same kind of thing every day,’ she continued.

Steph went on to say that her cravings during her first trimester included ‘all the foods [she] loved as a kid’.

‘Cheese and bacon Shapes, cheese and Vegemite on toast, white bread, plain white bread with jam, cereal, Frosty Fruits, chocolate covered biscuits…’ she said.

The event was inspired by ‘glamping’, or glamorous camping.
