MIC’s Amelia Mist unveils her relationship with boyfriend Tom Whitehouse

Made In Chelsea‘s Amelia Mist has unveiled her new relationship with boyfriend Tom Whitehouse after four months of dating.

The reality star, 22, exclusively revealed to MailOnline that she started dating the property mogul, 34, at the end of June when lockdown restrictions started to ease, after first meeting a year ago.

Amelia told how she didn’t initially see her new beau – who is 12 years her senior – as a ‘potential suitor’ and compared him to ‘Peter Pan’, joking that she is ‘way more mature’.

Amelia told MailOnline: ‘I am way more mature than him, I am telling you, I’m nearly 23 and will be in December, but he is just like Peter Pan, he does not grow up and he is such a child, but I love him for that as he is so much fun and my best friend.

‘When I went to his birthday party, I didn’t know who he was or anything but I just rocked up. From that moment onwards he said, “I want to be with you” and it was very very romantic, just like the movies.

‘We have spent every day together ever since. Obviously we have had our ups and downs for sure and it has been a tough ride, but right now we are really happy and very much in love.’

Amelia’s failure to find love on Made In Chelsea left fans relating to her on a personal level.

Tom is in the property business and is the director of Thomas Whitehouse Property & Investment.

He owns a flat, which he rents out, in Battersea, south-west London.

Amelia explained the importance of meeting her partner off-screen, as she added: ‘A relationship has to be exciting, I don’t look for someone who is serious.

‘To be honest I never really looked for anyone and was never like, “Oh I need a boyfriend”, it just happened when it happened, which is the best way because it is so authentic and not forced.

‘It is amazing that we did meet and it did actually happen as it was between that limbo period after the first wave and before this second wave started, and it’s only getting better.

‘I am very grateful for the opportunity [to appear on MIC], although it hasn’t portrayed me as the luckiest person. But like I said I wasn’t really looking for it properly on the show.’

Amelia, who has only featured on the E4 show since 2018, spent the first national lockdown with her co-star, Verity Bowditch, as they isolated together in Dorset.

Prior to filming series 20 of Made In Chelsea, which took place in September, the cast headed to two separate countryside manors in Surrey where they went into isolation.

Speaking about the impact on her budding romance, Amelia said: ‘We were not allowed to leave the two houses and we had to alternate between them which was super fun but it also put a strain on my relationship.

‘I couldn’t see Tom for nearly six weeks and that’s when it started to go t**s up.’

Amelia also revealed her plans to spend the November lockdown with Tom.

She said: ‘I think we would have moved into Tom’s flat in Battersea if that wasn’t being rented out, and obviously I want to stay with my flatmate Becca so I think we will all isolate together here.

‘I want my journey and current relationship situation to spread a positive message to say that it’s okay if you don’t find love because when it comes around it will be the right person and that way you can enjoy it even more.’

Made In Chelsea is on E4 on Mondays at 9pm
