EastEnders star Letitia Dean was spotted filming foreboding scenes at a graveyard in North London on Wednesday.

The actress, 52, returned to Albert Square earlier this year as Sharon Mitchell and is in the midst of a messy divorce with Phil. 

Now, more heartbreak looks set in store for Sharon as Letitia was pictured wiping away tears as she stood by a grave.

While it is not known which grave Sharon was visiting, perhaps her late son Dennis’, the character looked tense as she took a phone call while the cameras rolled. 

Dressed in a red faux fur shawl with a long black coat, Sharon dressed in mourning and looked thoroughly miserable as she talked on her phone. 

The scenes come as the Metro reported Sharon and Phil’s divorce proceedings will begin on the show next week.

Sharon has been struggling following the death of her son Dennis Rickman Jnr, who died when the boat crashed after Ian Beale failed to save him from the cabin he had locked him in. 

While Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) tried to reveal the truth about Ian holding Dennis hostage which ultimately led to his death, Sharon is none the wiser and has been trusting Ian, who bought her the Queen Vic out of guilt.

And producer Kate Oates confirmed she and Jon Sen were planning an epic Christmas storyline, involving the return of a character.

She previously told The Mirror: ‘Very much so. We have the second draft of the script stage for this Christmas. We have an exciting return planned and it’s going to be part of a huge long-running story that we’re going to be playing at Christmas.

‘Jon is so organised, we kind of know what we are doing the Christmas after as well. We have really long arcs and that’s when you know you’re in a good place when making a soap.

‘So not only are we very much on the way to completion for this Christmas, we know where we are going with the following one. EastEnders Christmas is very much on the agenda.’
