A TikToker has brought joy to millions of people across the web, after sharing a side-splittingly funny video of herself freaking out over a pair of spider earrings.

Mariah Alvarado, from Texas, shot to TikTok fame last week when she uploaded the amusing clip, which shows her flying into a panic when she spots the creepy accessories on the screen.

In the video, which has racked up more than 17.8 million views in just five days, Mariah is seen enjoying her dinner and a beer, while chatting to the camera about her favorite herbs and spices.

However just a few seconds into the clip, Mariah looks up at her camera, and spots the fake arachnid on her earlobe.

Terrified that she had a real spider crawling on her ear, the Texan gasps in horror, drops her fork, jumps up from her seat, and starts swiping at the accessory in a desperate attempt to get it away from her face.

Mariah soon realizes her hilarious error, and bursts into laughter, sitting back down in her chair with her hands over her mouth as she pokes fun at her own mistake.

‘I definitely forgot I was wearing spider earrings,’ she captioned the amusing video, before adding: ‘Don’t drink, kids.’

Mariah was certainly not the only person left in stitches by the less-than-spooky situation, with thousands of users commenting on the clip to share their joy at seeing her moment of panic.

Dr. Pimple Popper, whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee, chimed in to voice sympathy for Mariah, writing: ‘That would so be me,’ while another user agreed: ‘I would do the same lol.’

Many others simply shared their amusement at the viral video, with one person commenting: ‘It get funnier every time you watch it.’

Thankfully, Mariah was able to see the humor in the situation, even after her clip turned into a viral phenomenon, and she later posted another video of herself modeling the earrings while showing off a glamorous makeup transformation.

Her second clip prompted a slew of people to question where she bought the now-famous accessories, with one person writing: ‘Where did you get them though? Everyone’s asking.’

Another chimed in: ‘Where did you get those earrings?’

For now, the TikToker is remaining mum about the source of her spooky earrings, and simply replied: ‘I will be making a video soon telling everyone where I got them and a link. Happy Halloween!’

However Mariah did take the time to respond to those users who questioned why she was filming herself talking about recipes in the first place, explaining that she was recording the clip for a friend who wanted to know how she cooks her chicken.

‘For those curious about why I was recording, I was taking a video of myself describing how I season my chicken for a friend of mine,’ she explained.
