The UK’s terrorism threat is being raised to severe meaning an attack is highly likely.

The level is being raised from ‘substantial’ which mean an attack was ‘likely’ and the decision was made by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre.

The decision comes after a wave of terror attacks by Islamist militants in France and Austria with the latest coming on Monday night in Vienna which saw five people killed, including the attacker.
