Argentine great Diego Maradona ‘to undergo brain surgery for subdural hematoma’ within HOURS – despite his doctor saying earlier on Tuesday that he was improving

  • He is reportedly going to go in for surgery for a subdural hematoma within hours 
  • Maradona’s last appearance in public was on his 60th birthday last Friday 

Argentine football icon Diego Maradona will undergo brain surgery within hours, it was has been revealed.

Maradona had been hospitalised since Monday night for anemia and dehydration, though his condition had been improving, his personal doctor said earlier in the day.

But the latest concerning development for Maradona is that he requires surgery for a bleed on the brain.

Maradona underwent tests after he was admitted to the Ipensa clinic in La Plata, Argentina on Monday, according to his doctor Leopoldo Luque.

And after the results of his CT scan came back, they showed a bleed on the brain which must be operated on. 

It has not yet been confirmed whether Maradona suffered the subdural hematoma from a fall.
