Courteney Cox jokes: ‘Not the bangs!’ as Ghostface holds scissors to her trademark Gale Weathers fringe during Scream 5 shoot
She has been filming Scream 5 in North Carolina.
And Courteney Cox marked Halloween this Saturday by posting a fun picture from the shoot with someone dressed as the villainous Ghostface.
The 56-year-old actress used her caption to poke a bit of fun at her Gale Weathers hairdo – including the character’s memorable fringe.

The Friends icon arrived in North Carolina this month to begin filming the latest installment in the franchise which she has been part of since the start.
In fact this new movie will reunite her with her smoldering ex-husband David Arquette with whom she shares her 16-year-old daughter Coco.

Neve Campbell who is another mainstay of the Scream franchise will also be returning for the fifth movie which is due out in 2022.
David and Courteney co-starred in all four Scream movies, the first of which bowed in 1996 and the most recent of which was released in 2011.
They married in 1999 in San Francisco and in 2004 welcomed their daughter Coco, whose godmother is Courteney’s Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston.

The couple went public with their separation in October 2010, a month after Scream 4 wrapped filming and half a year before it bowed in theaters.
Within the next two years, the divorce was finalized, and Courteney has spent roughly the past half-decade engaged to Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid.
On his birthday in July she revealed that they had been self-isolating apart for 133 days, with her in stuck Los Angeles and him hunkering down in London.
