Red Notice: Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson in photos

He returned to set last month after production was halted in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But Ryan Reynolds was ready to say goodbye to his costars Dwayne Johnson, 48, and Gal Gadot, 35, as well as the crew of his upcoming Netflix film Red Notice on Friday.

The 44-year-old actor posted behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the action comedy while revealing that Thursday was his final day of shooting.

Saying goodbye: Ryan Reynolds, 44, posted some behind-the-scenes photos on Friday from the set of Red Notice with Gal Gadot, 35, and Dwayne Johnson, 48, after finishing his scenes on Thursday

Ryan opened his post with a black and white of himself with Dwayne and Gal in what looked like a church.

He wore a dark jumpsuit with light patches, which Dwayne mirrored.

Gal added some style with dark skirt with a slit to showcase her legs, knee-high black boots, a long black overcoat and a fluffy black hat.

Ryan began his post by pining for the days when movies were abundant in theaters, though many smaller movies have continued to be released digitally during the pandemic.

‘There haven’t been a lot of movies lately. I miss them,’ he wrote.

‘Yesterday was my final day on #RedNotice. We started this film 10 months ago. We stopped in March with no idea when or if we’d go back,’ he continued. ‘With the help of so many whip-smart health and safety workers, Netflix found a way to get us back to work.’

‘My hat is OFF to this crew. I can’t emphasize their grit enough,’ he wrote, commending the ‘300 souls’ who had to isolate for the production.

‘They went to work under the most intense circumstances every day. That sacrifice is not only theirs, but it also belongs to their family, friends and loved ones who haven’t seen them in months.

‘Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear masks. And visors. And have cotton swabs shoved up their noses every day,’ he concluded.

Last month, Gal marked her return to the Red Notice set with a photo of her getting her coronavirus test while wearing a T-shirt about the pandemic.

In an Instagram photo announcing the beginning of shooting back in January, Dwayne described his character as ‘the world’s greatest tracker’ who works for INTERPOL, while gal’s character is ‘the world’s greatest art thief’ and Ryan’s character is ‘the world’s greatest conman.’

‘In the world of international crime, an Interpol issued RED NOTICE is a global alert to hunt down and capture the worlds most wanted,’ he wrote to summarize the film.

The film was originally to be distributed by Universal Pictures, but the studio balked at the large $125–150 million budget.

Netflix, which was a runner-up in the initial bidding war, stepped in to distribute the film in Universal’s place.
