Paul Rudd passes out cookies to voters at Barclays Center in NYC and thanks them for doing their part

Paul Rudd was seen in Brooklyn, New York giving out cookies to voters on Thursday, less than a week before the Election Day showdown between former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.

‘I want to say thank you for coming out and doing your part and voting,’ the 51-year-old actor said in a clip on Twitter posted by Guster drummer Brian Rosenworcel, as he distributed the sweets to people doing their civic duties.

Rudd told Now This News he was pleased with the turnout and hoped to show his gratitude to those doing their civic duty.

‘One of the things that’s been really encouraging is seeing how many people are coming out early and voting all across the country,’ said the Ant-Man star. 

He continued: ‘Anybody who is waiting in line deserves to be, I think, thanked and encouraged and recognized, and that’s what we wanted to do. We figured people would be waiting in line in the rain, and they are.’

The Clueless actor donned a navy blue slicker jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt on the rainy day in New York.

The I Love You, Man actor wore black pants and and a black Barclays center cap as he handed out cookies to voters.

The 40-Year-Old Virgin actor was seen in a tweet from the Barclays Center that was captioned: ‘Hey, look at us, who would’ve thought.. we’d be enjoying cookies with Paul Rudd after voting in BK,’ with an emoji of a smiling face with sunglasses and the hashtag, #MakeHistoryHere. 

The affable actor was also seen in discussion with many voters as it poured down on the arena, where the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets call home. It was not immediately clear if Rudd had volunteered to work at the event in some capacity.

Rudd is father to two children with wife Julie Yaeger: son Jack, 14, and daughter Darby, 10.
