In the film, set for release on May 7 next year, Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett) is forced to confront missions alone before forging a strong friendship with Yelena Belova, who is also trained in the Red Room as a Black Widow.

On emulating a sibling-like relationship on-screen, British screen star Florence shared: ‘I think maybe the tiredness did add to my not being so self-aware.

‘I allowed myself to start taking the piss out of Scarlett from day one, which was great. And then from that point onward, we kind of did it to each other. It was instant sisterly bonding.’
