Former Love Island star Luke Packham announces he’s engaged to his new girlfriend

Former Love Island star Luke Packham announces he’s engaged to his new girlfriend… less than a year after splitting from co-star Cassie Lansdell

Luke Packham announced his engagement on Thursday, sharing a sweet photo of himself and his new fiancée.

The 26-year-old Love Island alum revealed he had popped the question during a romantic day out in Byron Bay.

‘Took this girl diving today and popped the question at the bottom of the ocean! Was a moment I will remember forever,’ he wrote.

Getting married: Luke Packham announced his engagement on Thursday, sharing a sweet photo of himself and his new fiancée

In the photo, Luke and his bride-to-be sat in wetsuits on the edge of a raft as they shared a passionate kiss.

The blonde beauty cupped Luke’s cheek, showing off her diamond engagement ring, with the former reality star including the hashtags, ‘#engaged #wifetobe’.

While Luke is yet to reveal the name of his new fiancée, she held a laminated piece of paper, which read: ‘OLIVIA JESSICA KISS you make me the happiest man. WILL YOU MARRY ME?’

Luke revealed he was in a new relationship in December, sharing a photo of himself kissing his new girlfriend on Instagram.

‘If your God is money, you will always be poor. But if your God is love, you will always be rich,’ he captioned the post.

The announcement came just three weeks after Luke split from his Love Island co-star, Cassie Lansdell.

But the 28-year-old reality star held no animosity towards her ex, and told Daily Mail Australia at the time that she was ‘happy for him’.

‘The only thing I’d say is that Luke and I realised that we weren’t really right for each other, but we are still good friends,’ she added.

Since announcing his relationship, Luke only shared one other photo with his girlfriend, preferring to keep their relationship private.

In September, he shared a photo of himself embracing her in the water at sunset, captioning it: ‘The best things in life are free’.

Having been inundated with fans attempting to uncover her identity, Luke took to Instagram Stories in December to clear a few things up.

‘Guys… I shared a photo with you, however she does NOT have Instagram so please stop asking me who she is when she has never had an Instagram account,’ he wrote.

He added: ‘It should be okay for people to choose if they want social media or not and I respect that.’

Luke appeared on last year’s season of Love Island Australia alongside his identical twin brother, Josh Packham.

Josh won the show, alongside girlfriend Anna McEvoy, but the series was cancelled after the second season.
